At Sant Antoni, nobody really knew which garments were on display in each store, or since when. The sales team wanted to spot what had been sitting in the same place for weeks, without anyone entering products twice.
The store manager opens the app on her phone, picks a display and scans each garment’s barcode with the camera. It’s logged with the date and time. At head office they get a dashboard for each store, the display floor plan and alerts for items that aren’t moving, and they can export everything to Excel. When a store gets rearranged, they update it in edit mode.
The app doesn’t keep its own product list: it looks products up in the brand’s management system, through the server. That way nothing gets entered twice and the phone never talks to that system directly.
